Marco Nunez was shot and killed in the 1700 block of Thames Street just before 1 a.m. on Monday, April 25, Baltimore Police said. Nunez was a bouncer at Rodos Bar and was identified by his employer, Fox Baltimore reports

"Marco was 30 years old and a dear friend to all who knew him," a GoFundMe organized for Nunez's family read. "He had a heart of Gold with a Great love for his Family. He had a smile and personality that lit up any room. You could always count on Marco to be there for you no matter what."

The profits from the campaign will go toward covering the cost of Nunez's funeral. The GoFundMe raise just over $2,000 of its $20,000 goal as of Monday afternoon. In addition, a candlelight vigil was held outside the Riptide Bar at 8 p.m. for Nunez, Fox Baltimore reports.

Meanwhile, the investigation into the shooting is ongoing and a reward of up to $16,000 is being offered to anyone with information.

In addition, Baltimore police released images of several persons in interest and are asking anyone who recognizes any of them to come forward.
